Since I have used this Bible passage as an example of how the Lord God has positively influenced my overeating, this doesn't necessarily reflect the whole meaning of the verse. Debbie

What Should I Do Next?

All Solomon's work was carried out, from the day the foundation of the temple of the Lord was laid until its completion. So the temple of the Lord was finished. 2 Chronicles 8:16

Solomon had a major project, but what should I do? I can't build a temple, or do something significant like that. The thing is, that I'm looking at things with the eyes of a lowly human being, not with the eyes of the Lord, Jesus Christ, our Savior!

Sometimes, I think I have to do something monumental, in order to show my love for the Lord. But in reality, whatever the Lord God has on my heart to do, even what seems insignificant, might be extremely significant in the Lord's eyes. I guess that's how He can use all the sinful desires, and failings of this compulsive overeater, to show others that the Lord God loves us the way we are, whether fat or thin.

Of course, the Lord would prefer that I make the healthiest choices in my life, but He's there welcoming me with open arms, whether I do or whether I don't. And Jesus doesn't give up on me, when I get caught up in things that aren't best for me, but He's right there waiting to show me what I should do next. He'll do that for you, too, if you let Him! The Lord has enough room in His arms for all of us!
