Since I have used this Bible passage as an example of how the Lord God has positively influenced my overeating, this doesn't necessarily reflect the whole meaning of the verse. Debbie

I Didn't Realize That I Was Going Backward & Not Forward

But they didn't listen or pay attention, instead, they followed the stubborn inclination of their evil hears. They went backward & not forward. Jeremiah 7:24 NIV Bible

First off, I feel inclined to apologize for it being so long since my last post. I have been intensely working on this major project related to Books of the Bible in Smaller Chunks found at: https://bibleinsmallerchunks.blogspot.com/

The thing is, I've been so concerned over the last few months, because my weight has gone down without my really trying, that I've been adding extra foods to maintain my weight. That, in and of itself, isn't bad. What isn't so good is the fact that I've allowed myself to have special treats like ice cream and cake, which I rarely do, because I'm Hypoglycemic. My grandfather was Hypoglycemic and became a diabetic, because he used sweets too often.

Well, the other day, I wanted something to snack on and instead of picking up some fruit or nuts, I got some graham cracker shaped snacks that are for kids. Usually, graham crackers aren't too sweet, but I think these must have been extra sweet. I found that the next day, I was craving even more sweets to snack on. Then it dawned on me, that I was moving backward and not forward, so I prayed asking the Lord God to be in charge of what I'm eating, since I was backtracking. Fortunately, He's redirected me, and has it on my heart that I shouldn't be eating any snacks of that nature, because it's too easy to fall back into old counter-productive patterns!
